The president and director general of the Association of Basque Municipalities (EUDEL), Jokin Bilaratz and Mar Zabala, confirm the closure of the eighth edition of the European Information Society Conference (EISCO 2010).
Bildaratz evaluates the work carried out by the EUDEL team in the conference organization and encourages the holding of future events, which will take place in Euskadi.
Zabala points out the international character of EISCO 2010 and states the importance that town councils are to play in the construction of the future European information society.

Last Saturday, during the closing ceremony of the eighth European Information Society Conference, the draft of the conference Declaration was published on this blog. It is a document, which includes the event’s main conclusions and appeals to the public powers to make an efficient use of ICTs. The Declaration is open to public debate for one week. During which all of the citizens’ may contribute their remarks and opinions to the text. We wish to remind you that the deadline is still open and we encourage you to participate in this debate from the EISCO 2010 blog.
On Saturday took place in Euskladuna Conference Center the last day of congress, when the event was officially finished and the draft of EISCO 2010 declaration was published. This document will be open to public discussion for a week.
